ReplyMsg Posted: 5:33 PM 8/04/2008 ( msg #781 ) Msg Subject: Labor Day Weekend. O.K. boys and girls here is the final plan for the long weekend. We booked an r.v. site at Blair's Jungle Den. We decided to go there instead of Astor Landing for a couple reasons. By going to Blair's hopefully more people will join in, since it's still hot in September I couldn't see too many people staying in tents at Astor Landing. Blair's has been good to ActiveBoating, and we have to support the advertisers if they are goin to keep advertising. It is closer to the Glen for anyone venturing that way. So here's what we have so far, Labor Day Weekend begins on friday August 29th but we have a football game for our son friday so we won't come up until Saturday Morning. I know Randy and Kim said they had a football game Saturday night so I'm hoping they will come up Sunday and at least spend some time with us. Hopefully more people will find time to come hang out with us. Blair's said to book early. Because even though they had plenty rooms now, they always fill up on the long weekends.

Our plans are unknown right now, we are hoping to hit the glen a couple days, but we are also hoping to have the Hatt on the hard getting motors that week. We just have to wait and see. We cant stay the weekend at blairs (fatboy) and besides home is just 30 minutes north of the glen. |

When we went to Astor landing today to check out sites, the ramp and the empty boatslips look like they had not been used in quite some time. We had concerns about being able to launch there and leaving the boat in the water. The campground was nice, but it going to be sooooooo hot, those that like to camp without a bedroom, bathroom and AC would most likely be miserable. Our "tent" has ALL of the amenities of home!!!!! |

We are setting up Saturday Morning and I think we may have a pop warner football game Saturday afternoon, but we'll be in Astor or at the Glen the rest of the weekend. Just look for a red and white boat flying the ActiveBoating flag! |

We will more than likely stay outside of the glen for the day, we may bring the dingy so we can easily go in for awhile if we want. We are planning on going on Sunday maybe Monday, Saturday is up in the Air. |
