All three of us are getting certified, but I think we are going to wait until October. We need to get lebitch on the hard and get her done before we start on another project.

Well that  makes five, so getting the better rate will work. We'll get more info when it gets closer to time. I'm excited and I'm already certified.

Maybe if we kinda plan a date in October we can get a few more to join us...

I WILL DISCUSS THAT WITH CHRIS UNLESS HE SEES THIS FIRST. TO HAVE A DEFINITE ANSWER, I GUESS I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE COST WILL TOTAL FOR THE BOTH OF US. YOU KNOW HOW THAT $$ THING ALWAYS GETS IN THE WAY! 

Four or more people makes it 350 per person which includes gear rental, pool time and four spring dives. You have to supply your own mask, fins, snorkle ,booties,and weights.

Once you have the essential gear, and your "c" card you can rent the rest of the gear you need if you don't want to buy it.

It don't take long to rack up some money in gear.

Wetsuit = $100 - $500

BC = $200 - $1000

Regulator set = $500 -$ 1500

computer = $250 - $1500

tanks = $130 - $400 each

Misc. (lights, knives, goodies) ???

Much better to rent until you see if your going to dive A LOT!

Oh, and there are two kinds of divers. those that pee in their wetsuits, and those that lie and say they don't.

I always tell everyone to rent their gear for the first two years, so if they can`t continue to dive they are not stuck with it. Then buy some brand name used gear they can get serviced locally (preferably fresh water gear). Then make a birthday and christmas list for the kids! LOL
