When I was looking to upgrade from handheld I looked at all the normal stores to see what was out there. I decided on a Lowrance first because they have a deal with a chip that has all the U.S coastline for $99.00. When I went to get the machine I had a friend with me that asked about the Eagle machin, and I said "no they aren't top of the line". Well to my suprise they are the excact same machine with the excect same warranty. They even use the same software. I didn't get the color machine, it just seemed like "gadgets" to me. I've had my machine for three years and haven't run into anything yet,so it must be working. I ordered mine online from boaters world and got a discount, so you may want to check them online. Also I went to Bass Pro Shops and saw the two machines side by side, thats when I saw the difference. That's when I went back to the drawing board on my choice, and started searching for the best deal. Just my .02 , good luck on your choice. |
