Hi, we are new to the Tampa area and looking to meet others in the area.  WE LOVE BOATING...We have a small ('20)  cuddy cabin and want to upsize to something bigger in the future.  "Window shopping" for my "cruising condo"...Hoping to meet others and  to learn more about  the beautiful west coast boating waters.  Cheers. Laurie & Crew

Welcome to the zoo. I don't know how often they are on but catmandoo is from around that area.

Oh and I don't know how much you have explored the area but if you get the chance check out Egmont key. It's a great place to snorkel on the gulf side there is an old fort that washed down into the water durring a storm. that's about the only place I know of other than riding around looking at all the big houses in St. Pete.

Hi Stan and thanks for the replies.  I love zoos, so I should fit right in here ;)....I sent Catmandoo a friend request, so maybe I will get the chance to chat with them later....

Hi Laurie

Glad you finally jump aboard this forum, you will find a very funny and friendly crew here.

Maybe we can get together before the summer gets away from us, and I hope you find the perfect liveaboard soon.

HI LAURIE!

WELCOME TO ACTIVEBOATING! I'M NOT TOO FAMILIAR WITH THE TAMPA AREA, BUT I HOPE YOU FIND SOME GREAT PLACES TO BOAT! MY HUSBAND AND I ALSO HAD A 20' CUDDY THAT WE RECENTLY SOLD BECAUSE WE UPGRADED TO A 24' CUDDY. THE 4' MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE. I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE SITE AND MEET LOTS OF NEW BOATING FRIENDS! MAYBE WE WILL MAKE IT YOUR WAY IN THE NEAR FUTURE!

Hey Laurie!!!  Welcome aboard!!!!  We used to play down around Treasure Island a couple of times a year, but the mom and pop hotel that we always stayed at, right on the water went to condo's.  I miss going there, but when we go places we always take our boat.  We have looked at taking our camper and boat to Fort de Soto, but you have to book soooooooo far in advance we haven't made it that way!!!!  If you know of any places on the water with dock space, let us know!!!!!!  If you make it up this way, let us know!!!!!!--Jenn
