As we all celebrate this memorial Day, let's take a moment to pray for everyone involved in the boating accident at the glen Sunday. I know the nation is planning to take a few moments at three pm to remember the men and women who keep this country safe and strong, but let's keep these people in our thoughts as well. PLEASE, PLEASE be carefull and keep an eye on the weather.

They said it was like a microburst.  How tragic! I can't imagine how horrible it is for the parents.  Not only remember them today, remember that by the grace of God it was not me/you.  We never know what day will be our last and should live our lives knowing this.

Glad it was not anyone in our group though.  God Bless, be safe.

Th accident happened on Lake George. The sky  turned so black, people stared untying there ropes and just hauling butt. They said it was mass confusion, the people waited to  late to out run the storm. They said it was the waves and wind that sunk the boats, and to many people on board. It was such a terribly  scene, so so sad. My condolences to the family. Even inside  the Glen the wind & lighting were horrible, boats were coming on anchored and moving around.

The weather kept us grounded most of the weekend, then when Terry called and told me about the accident it didn't make much since trying to go to the glen today.

We did end up going to east lake Toho, which was GREAT. I have never been much for lakes, but had a great time today.

I hope we can all get together soon, it's time to meet everyone face to face and hang out!

That is terrible.  I saw it on the news.  I have been on Lake George in heavy weather and it is NOT fun.  You have to be careful.  It sounds a lot of people took huge unnecessary risks.  We didnt even go out due to the weather.  I cant imagine how rough it must have been out there.

It is a real tragedy.  Makes us all think.  Hopefully we all keep this in mind before we do anything careless.

This was a terrible tragidy for all involved. My wife and children were very close to ones who passed away in the accident. We were at the homes of the families all day.

The beautifull little girl ciera was one of my daughters best freinds and hadd been at our home not two weeks before.

This has with out a doubt made all of us more aware of dangerous our hobby is. We to have been on that lake in some terrible weather and managed to out run it. That does not seem like such a good idea anymore. I believe we will be leaving earlier or staying put until it all passes over.

I can't help but think of the number of times I have told the kids to get in the cabin of our boatwhen the weather is bad. All  I ever want to do is keep them safe. That no longer seems like a very safe place for them to be. It is going to take my wife and children some time to heal from this lose of loved ones, and maybe even longer to ever want to go back out on the water.

We will pass on the prayers to the families and friends. From the bottom of my and my familys hearts THANK YOU!!! Please be safe on the water!!!!
