Msg Subject: New liveaboard, trying to make her way in this life

Hi everyone. I'm a new liveaboard, less than a year. I've been on this site before, but recently been encourage to become a more active participant. I absolutely would like to be...I would also like to get internet and solar power on my boat! Anyway...spring is hear and I have a new bounce in my step. I really don't want to be living in the NE again for another winter! Ack! But this summer I am a waitress at a touristy very busy family restaurant by day, and hoppin' bar by night. Perhaps other cruisers out there have suggestions as to the best place on the east coast or caribbean to sail to where I can find work like that, a place to liveaboard, etc. Any suggestions? And, if I may make a suggestion for those who are living alone on their boats...have a pet!!! Its the best! I have a cat and he is so sweet and special. I'm thankful every day to have him. Teresa, GREAT post! Sounds like you are getting the hang of life aboard a boat pretty good.

As for places to work, I'm sure others will agree that finding what you are looking for shouldn't be a problem anywhere along the Florida coast, or even in the St. Johns river for that matter. And best of all IT DOESN'T SNOW here!!!!!  It does get cold, but NO SNOW!

Good luck in your adventure, keep us posted when you have time, and be safe!
