OK so we havent been around for a while.  Friday before last we decided to take the boat up to Inlet Harbor.   On the way back it was dark and low tide.  Right at Ponce inlet we hit bottom hard.  Not sure why,  we were in the channel.   Must me some strange tides in there recently

We had 5 men on the boat, with cocktails and cigars in hand, and we must have looked silly standing in the water pushing it off the sandbar in our regular clothes.  Yeah, stupid, but not really, we were being carefull, and were where we were supposed to be.  But we all got a laugh out of it once we got free.  No damage thank goodness.

I bet you guys were a sight!!!!  Hope noone spilled any of the cocktails!!!! 

Where have you been---We have been to DI a couple of times and looked for you!!!!!  Let us know when you will be there next!!!

We have been around, but not much boating going on.  We have been booked solid lately.  Hopefully soon we can get out again.  The river is passable again, so we might be out there soon.

Mnypit, check out the calender. We are heading to the glen next Sunday.

We revisited that sandbar again in the daylight.  Now we know where to avoid next time we are out.  I knew we were close, and wanted to kinda figure how big and which way to avoid it, so we did. 

Incidently, DI was a blast Saturday,  Brought a couple car club buddies with us.  Not as crowded as the previous weekend, but I guess the looming weather and small craft advisory scared a few away.  We just played it really careful and had a blast.  Brought the stupid dog with us for the first time.  He had fun once he got used to the whole thing.

Hey mnypit---- A group of us will be at the sandbar on Easter Sunday.

Oh hell, we are gonna be on Lake Down and the Windermere chain that day.  We will be on the river tomorrow, Sunday, then DI on Wednesday and Friday and maybe Saturday. 

Well, I must tell on myself before someone else tells on me. Saturday night we headed to Inlet harbour for something to eat and I THOUGHT I was in the channel. I ran up on a sandbar, and Terry had to help me push the boat off, then to add insult to injury, on the way BACK to their boat I stayed to the other side of the channel AND HIT ANOTHER SAND BAR!!!!!! I decided to just stay on the west side of the island until I get to the cut between the two islands, it seems MUCH safer for me.

At least its not just me!  LOL
