Msg Subject: PYLONS

Why in the world do they put pylons in the middle of the river? I'm not sure why they are there but they don't sound good bouncing off your boat. Or should I say it does not sound good bouncing your boat off of them. Now for the rest of the story.

We were headed out for the day on sun. All happy and go lucky. When the driver of our boat was not paying any attention around the astor bridge. He was looking at something behind him and not watch were he was going. We his son yells look out, look out for what was the response. Then it hit him, or wait then he hit it. The pylons protecting the brigde supports from silly boaters.  That is the most gut wrenching sound I have ever heard, all th way done the side of our pretty new paint job.

Now some intelligent soul made this thing called a rub rail, what a wonderful invention for a boat. It saved the hull and the paint. Now it needs to be replaced by the same dummie who used ut as a bumber. The boat is just fine no damage to it. but my pride took a swift kick in the pants, and quick shot to the back of the head from the wife didn't hurt either. Hows that for a silly boater trick!!!

It sounds like it's a good thing there was no FWC officers around, or you could have been charged with reckless boating! Good thing nobody was hurt, be carefull!

HE WASN'T EVEN DRINKING! ALCOHOL THAT IS! MUST HAVE BEEN THE FULL THROTTLE "ENERGY" DRINK!!

Ya thats it I'll blame it on the energy drink, I only wish I could. Thats what I get for not paying attention. I am glad there were no fwc around. Try expaining that one to the nice officer.

NO no I was in the channel. The currrent and the wind were a little strong then I'm used to on the river. I looked at what Brandon was doing and not the water. I bumped the pylon right near the end on the rear of the boat. No real damage exept to my pride, and yes you taught me better then that STAN. I got destracted. I will definetly pay far more attention next time and from now on.
