I thought it would be fun to talk about what we like and dislike about the active boating lifestyle.

How long have you been and who introduced you to boating.

Anything else fun and interesting.

I dislike when we are loading or unloading and Terry is yelling at me for something...(usually something he did but I'm getting yelled at for it)  

I like meeting awesome people who have the same interest, the quiet and relaxation of the water 

I have been boating since a child, my dad was an active boater on the St Johns and my hubby and I have been boating since we married.

I boat to have a good time and relax.  I have been boating practically all my life.  My parents had boats for ever.  My first time trying to swim involved jumping off the front of our boat thinking I could, luckily Dad knew I could not swim and grabbed me by the leg as I was diving in.  I learned to ski at about 5.  We were mainly on some small lakes and the St. Johns River.  Anyone else remember when the Glen had docks along the back side that you could rent a slip and spend the week/weekend there?  What about the observation tower at Hontoon Island??

Hi, and thanks to Lebitch (*M*) for inviting me to join this group..we are new to Florida, and the Tampa area.  I am looking for other boating gals to meet up with, but they are hard to find...we have a small 20' cuddy cabin Key West and are hoping to upsize to something we can keep in a marina and use as a "cruising condo".  I have enjoyed readin/learning from those who have written posts here and hope I can add something of interest in the future.  If you are in the Tampa area, please suggest places we need to explore..Cheers, Laurie & Crew
