I have a 12 volt blender.  I'm not sure what brand it is.  It looks like it would be wonderful.  HOWEVER, it doesn't crush the ice very well.  It just moved it around in the pitcher.  It wasn't worth the hassle to me.

What I do now, is make the daquaris the night before at home and freeze it in a plastic jug.  Then I just put it in our ice chest the morning of our trip.  I pull the container out and put it in the sun about 10 minutes before I'm ready to drink.  It thaws pretty quickly.  Yum, yum!
