ReplyMsg Posted: 4:27 PM 1/28/2008 ( msg #26 ) Msg Subject: Sheri's Stuffed Japaleno's My wife Sheri has a very tasty treat. Easy to make and great to eat. She cuts raw jalapeno peppers in half, then stuffs them with cream cheese or sausage meat, then wraps them with raw bacon, or prosciutto, then sticks a few toothpicks in them to keep them wrapped during the grilling process. Talk about good and tasty? Just try it! Cook them on the grill straight up or on aluminum foil. Spray with PAM, so they don't stick. It's real crowd pleaser, especially the ones that spank your ass! |

They are awesome if you use cream cheese with chives, stuff them full, top with chopped scallions, shredded cheese and then wrap in bacon You can also use the seafood cheese dips sold in the seafood section of the supermarket in place of the cream cheese |

I have been making these for years as well as alot of other food dishes with Jalapeno peppers. I never wear gloves and have never had a problem. UNTIL Sunday!!!! I cut one Jalapeno to add to my scalloped potato's, about 30 minutes later my hands started to burn so I went in and washed them. An hour later...PAIN Unbelievable Pain in both hands and nothing was working. Jumped on line and looked up jalapeno burns to find I'm not the only idiot and thank god it was only my hands...Jalapeno acid stays on the skin 4-48 hours and although there are tons of home remedies (none of which worked for me) it is a waiting game of pure pain. No relief for 4 hours, becareful and wear gloves!!! |
