Msg Subject: Plans change:(

regretably we are cancelling our plans for labor day weekend.

The river is not going to be in any condition to boat on, and the people in Astor realy don't need to worry about a bunch of boats making wakes and helping flood their houses more.

I know some people will still go out (maybe not from our group), but I'm not going to add to the problem.

What would be nice is if some of us could check with Mike at Blair's and see if we can give them a hand in the clean up, they have been realy good to us after all.

As far as Outback Crab Shack goes, well if they are open and want the business we are still going to go. I doubt they will have their docks open, and since it is still calling for rain we'll be in the truck.

We still would like to see Millissa and Terry's boat, and maybe offer them a hand with any clean up they may need, so unless they are too busy we are still planning to stop by.

I hope this doesn't effect too many peoples plans, but under the circumstances it seems like the right thing to do.

I hope everyone comes through the storm unharmed, and I look forward to getting together with everyone as soon as possible. Maybe we can salvage a day to go boating over the long weekend somewhere besides the St. Johns.

We agree Stan, after the last bad storm hit the St Johns it was weeks, before the water went back to normal levels. Even in an idle speed/no wake just traveling the river caused more water to flood into homes/yards.

Not to mention all the debris in the river from yards, docks, trees, and other

We will wait until later in the week to decide on our plans for Labor Day, kinda wait and see what the river does....

I still hope the weather breaks enough for us to drive up and get something to eat, and to be able to check on our friends. Now that it's moving again maybe we will just have some rain to deal with Saturday.

I am up for some good food, cold beer, and work on a boat if it is needed.

Hey M, how did our new freinds far in the storm?

Stan,

If you can get any info from blairs or about Astor let me know. I have access to a small jon-boat with a trolling motor. If any one needs help getting there stuff out.

We are still up for Saturday if weather allows. If outback crabshack is closed and you guys are still up for a drive...we could go to Gator landing or Three Bananas they are both on the water..Of course I'd rather go to outback crabshack

I am very Thankful that all activeboaters are aware of the current conditions and as such are willing to change your plans. If only other boaters would understand that during high water and flooding those  of use who live on the water are extremely effected by boat traffic.

Unneccessary boat traffic causes more damage to marinas, boats and homes.

And our neighbors...Kim and Steve, Pat and Sue are doing well and fairing the storm with us
